Hailed as a "coup-de-force" when it first premiered in 2021, this sci-fi drama unfolds in the year 2250, on a military base in Colorado. Lomond is a Seeker, hired by the military for his ability to access and analyze other people's memories. Summoned to take part in a top-secret mission, he finds himself confronted by his ex-wife who he will have to work with on the mission. As the Seeker grapples with one of the most complex enigmas of his career, the two exes must not only navigate the complicated emotional terrain between them, but uncover a truth that could change the fate of all humanity.
Seeker originally premiered to critical acclaim in French at Montreal's Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui in 2021, where audiences and reviewers praised Marie-Claude Verdier's compelling blend of speculative science fiction and deeply human drama. The play, which went on to win the prestigious Michel Tremblay Award for Best New Play, explores themes of identity, the power of memory, and the responsibility a community has in shaping its own history.

Good News Theatre Reviews : "The most striking achievement, however, lies in its design. The set designers Geneviève Lizotte and Carol-Anne Bourgon Sicard, deliver a bold and unforgettable visual design as they transform the stage into a dark and cold underground testing facility."— 2026‑04‑21.
Audience member : "It is marvellously acted & directed, the stage is phenomenally perfect and the content so thought provoking"
Instagram : "It's just so compelling. What I loved most was the effects. They're so immersive and you really feel taken ... It's just so compelling and it's a beautiful story. The two actors are amazing."— @maris_mbi.
